A Nice Walk Around the River Thames at London Waterloo

By admin On June 24, 2011 No Comments

London Eye is just one of the newest attractions that London has to offer. The eye can be discovered within the River Thames area of Westminister which is identified as the South Bank. Downing Street plus the Houses of Parliament are located directly opposite the attraction.

You will discover many underground stations nearby to the attraction. The nearest and easiest is London Waterloo but additional stations include Westminster,Embankment and Charing Cross.

You do not need need to rent a vehicle from London Waterloo vicinity to check-out the attractions downtown. Waterloo will be the closest railway station and the hop on hop off sight seeing tour bus route stops close by to the attraction.

Inside the Winter months the eye is opened from ten during the morning right up until 8 in the evening. The summer months recognizes the eye being opened from 10 in the morning until such time as 9 in the evening.Sometimes you may be able to book a late trip on the Eye in the evening at a discounted rate depending on availability.Every single trip takes on average about thirty minutes. If you are lucky and travel on a very good clear day. You are able to notice as far as Windsor Castle. Bear in mind and take your camera with you of the fantastic views.

London Aquarium is opened each and every day from ten inside the morning right up until 6 within the evening, with the exception of Christmas and New Years.

The aquarium is ultimately situated near to the London Eye on the south bank of the River Thames. You may locate the sea life centre in the part of the County Hall building. Similar to the London Eye, visitors can attempt to arrive at the attraction by trains and buses. The underground station that is within a 5 minute walk of the attraction is Waterloo Metro. It is possible to wander across the Westminster Bridge and catch the underground there which is situated across the street from Big Ben.

The sea life centre is another attraction which is said to be one of the most well known of its type in Europe.During the day at a variety of times, the general public can view feeding times. Just before lunchtime at eleven thirty you’ll be able to check out the sting rays and observe them being feed and pay attention to a talk given by the staff. If Piranha’s and catfish are much more your idea then head over to watch them being fed by their guardians at one o’clock in the rainforest spot.

Everybody may take a liking to the huge sharks. Who can resist not watching these wonderful creatures which if you stay around about two thirty on specific days, you will be able to see them being fed. Life in the Corals is an interesting talk and that is held at three thirty each day.

If you wish to do your part in saving the Earth planet. It is possible to adopt a creature and thereby assisting in  saving the planet at the same time. Very good idea for all ego friendly men and women who wish to be proactive.

London Attractions on the Wild Side

By admin On January 16, 2011 No Comments

Animal lovers take heed as London steps up to the platform to announce yet more attractions added to its already well-stocked animal features. If you like seeing animals exotic and wild, London is the place to visit as its zoo and aquarium are continually updated with the wacky, weird and wild every month.

For those of us who can’t conceive the idea of visiting countries like Africa and South America, where many of the world’s most fascinating animals live, zoos are an incredible addition to our society that allows us to see these majestic creatures in the flesh. Animals at such attractions are very well looked after, and every visitor that heads to places like London Zoo can rest assured that they are contributing to the welfare of the wildlife with their entrance fee.

It can be an incredible experience to see animals like elephants, giraffes and penguins in real life instead of on television. Often, we do not realise just how massive some creatures are, or how small some others are – or how they look from certain angles, or even how adorable they are! Zoos give us a chance to see all that, and to get up close with some of the world’s deadliest creatures without having to worry for our lives.

Similarly, if ocean life is your bag, London Aquarium has plenty to offer up, with the scariest sharks to child-pleasing displays of fish resembling the cast of animated adventure Finding Nemo. You can even get the chance to touch a few animals, with starfish and stingrays being amongst the wildlife that professional handlers allow adults and kids alike to feel the rough skin of from the comfort of dry land.

What’s more, you’ll learn about piranhas, catfish, eels and squid thanks to a team of dedicated staff on hand to explain the animals’ living habits and give tours of the exhibition.

Finally, you may want to look to the past to get your fix of wild animals – and the Natural Museum is certainly the place to get your fix of the most ferocious. With a jawdropping dinosaur display, including skeletons, models and fossilised footprints, you’ll be forgiven if these monstrous saurian reptiles invade your dreams for a few nights following the visit.

All of London’s top animal attractions are easy to access from many London hotels – so you can be sure of getting in line to see them all with ease.
