Keep at the Tower of London

By admin On April 27, 2012 3 Comments

www.ceepackaging.com http www.youtube.com I tried to make a film on the Tower of London, unfortunately something went wrong with the camera and only three pieces of film survived. Two I am posting here, the third is being discarded. At the centre of the Tower of London stands the Norman White Tower built in 1078 by William the Conqueror (reigned 1066-87) inside the southeast angle of the city walls, adjacent to the Thames. This was as much to protect the Normans from the people of the City of London as to protect London from outside invaders. William appointed Gundulf, Bishop of Rochester, as the architect. Fine Caen stone, imported from France, was used for the corners of the building and as door and window dressings, though Kentish ragstone was used for the bulk of the edifice. The White Tower is 27 m high and the walls vary from 4.5 m thick at the base to almost 3.3 m in the upper parts. Above the battlements rise four turrets; three of them are square, but the one on the northeast is circular, in order to accommodate a spiral staircase. This turret was briefly used as the first royal observatory in the reign of Charles II. Completing the defences to the south of the Tower was the bailey. In the 1190s, King Richard the Lionheart (reigned 1189-99) enclosed the White Tower with a curtain wall, and had a moat dug around it filled with water from the Thames. Richard utilised the pre-existing Roman city wall, to the east, as part of the circuit. Part of the wall he built

Tower of London. Actually a series of towers surrounded by a double wall. Officially called “Her Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress The Tower of London”, more commonly known as the Tower of London. This historic monument is located in central London, England on the north bank of the River Thames. More than a day trip from Thornbury Castle, and certainly worth the travel! (You can view this video, and other travel videos in full-size and near-DVD quality, travel stills and more at www.jpmeyer.com). Thornbury Castle is part of the von Essen Group of hotels, “a private collection of individual country house hotels in the UK, each with a distinctive style and character of its own” according to www.vonessenhotels.co.uk, but we think of it as Real People having Real Fun!

Over the last couple days, several videos have emerged showing several white gowing orbs flying over london. This is one of the newer ones that was posted by a tourist that was filming the Tower Bridge as several orbs made a fly by. The original HDV tape of this video has been given to me right out of the camera and has not been tampered with. I will allow this tape to be analysed by a professional to authenticate it as untampered evidence. The woman who filmed the video is willing to take a lie detector test. Her husband will also testify to what they witnessed. SUBSCRIBE NOW to stay informed. Thanks. and PS you people better get use to the fact that these things are happening in our world today.

London Tower

London Tower, London: Brian shows us the prison where British royals lived and died.
Video Rating: 4 / 5

During its near-1000 year history, the Tower of London has been used as a royal residence, prison, armoury, zoo, treasure house and storehouse but every one of these uses stems from its might as a fortress and symbol of royal power. And today it is still a working fortress with a military presence, daily ceremonies including the Ceremony of the Keys to secure the Tower for the night and the community of Beefeaters and Tower officials that live here with their families. Here, Yeoman Warder (or Beefeater to you and I) Dickie Dover gives an introduction to this British icon.
